2007 Point Information
KHRA has approved the release of our 2007 Point
Information. 28 eligible horses will be sharing the $115,323.00
KPHIF Funds. These 28 horses earned 622.3 points in Open, Amateur,
and PAC Divisions. The value per point is $185.32
Award letters have been mailed--if you have not
received your award letter, please contact KYPHC to confirm your current
(2008) membership. KHRA has estimated a two to four week turn
around time from receipt of your information until award checks are
returned to you.
Revisions to Kentucky Paint Horse Incentive Fund
Effective Date December 1, 2007
All terminal deadlines for eligible horses have been removed.
Horses born between 2001 and 2006.
- Horses foaled between the above years that were not nominated to the Kentucky Paint Horse Incentive Fund (KPHIF) by the previously published deadline of August 1, 2007 are eligible to be nominated by January 31, 2008 for a late fee of $500.00. The $500.00 late fee is equivalent to one show point, based on 2006 single show point amount.
- Horses can continue to be nominated after January 31, 2008 at any time for the $500.00 late fee plus $200 a month for each month after January 31, 2008.
- Nomination must be post marked by the last day of the month.
- Therefore, no deadlines exist and horses are eligible to be nominated at any time provided the late fees are paid.
- Points earned toward KPHIF payouts begin when all the funds and required documentation are correct and completed as determined by the KPHIF manager.
- Only points earned after the enrollment date, which appears on the nomination card, will count toward KPHIF payout. “Enrollment Date” is defined as the date when all the required funds and documentation are correct and completed.
- 2001-2006 horses that were nominated by August 1, 2007 are eligible for all show points earned throughout the 2007 show season.
Foals of 2007 and subsequent years
- 2007 foals and foals born in subsequent years are to be nominated by December 1st of their birth year for a nomination fee of
- After December 1 foals can be nominated for $500.00 through January 31st of the year following their birth year.
